We managed to pull off a few surprises for Mom's 90th birthday celebration. We told her we were taking her out to the Legion on Saturday afternoon and then for a family dinner Saturday night, which was the truth, but not the whole truth. 

What we didn't tell her was that 10 people were coming from out of town. So as Friday and Saturday progressed these people arrived to surprise her at her house and at the Legion.

The family dinner was attended by 35 family members including all 4 sons, 7 of her 9 grandchildren and 4 great grand children.

Guests of honour included her sister Alice from Penticton and her brother-in-law Murray from Montreal.
