A Day Around Victoria

Our downtown hotel is right across the street from a historic totem park.

We cleaned up Albert & Edith Shaw's grave stone at Royal Oak Burial Park.

Victoria has a delightful Chinatown.

Of course, this is the western most point on the TransCanada Highway.
It is 4860 miles to St. Johns, Newfoundland.

In the afternoon we visited Dr. Helmcken's house which was built in the mid 1800s. He married the daughter of James Douglas, no relation, who was responsible for BC joining Canada.

After supper we visited my cousin Wayne and his wife Joan in Sidney shown here with son Sean.
